The Forbidden City in Beijing was the palace of 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It is also the best place to learn about ancient Chinese architecture and history. You can learn about China’s long-standing cultural traditions here. As the world’s largest and most complete ancient building complex, its plane layout, three-dimensional effect, and majestic form are rare in ancient times, and therefore it has been listed as a “World Cultural Heritage” by UNESCO. Some palaces in the Forbidden City also have comprehensive historical art galleries, painting galleries, classified ceramic galleries, study galleries, and Qing Dynasty court statutes and cultural relics exhibitions, etc., with a large collection of ancient art treasures, and the daily clock demonstrations in the clock and watch museum are not to be missed.
